UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH OF MINNETONKA

Thus, each month we consider the question “What does it mean to be a community of ….............”

  • Risk (March’s theme)
  • Transformation (April’s theme)
  • Embodiment (May’s theme)

These worship themes are studied in depth through additional readings, inspirational quotes, questions to walk with – not just talk through, and practices to help people actually experience the theme. Participants receive a resource packet each month with background information, questions for discussion and contemplation, spiritual exercises, wise words and other suggested resources.

In each meeting, we use the time equitably, as we share what it was like to “live with” the exercise and the questions. We also share where the topic took us, and hear the experience of others. This sharing, is at the heart of the Soul Matters program and our experience is further deepened by the group discussion which follows the sharing.

Exact meeting times will be determined by the number and availability of participants. (You do not have to be available every week to sign up.) We will ask for your available dates and times when you sign up and form groups around those dates. Sign-up sheets are available in the north room for Tuesday Evenings starting March 14th, Thursday Evenings starting March 16th, Saturday Mornings starting March 18th and Sunday Afternoons starting March 19th. You can also sign up using this Sign Up Genius link. Deadline is March 1st to allow time for participants to receive materials, so sign up today!! For more information, contact Susan Goll. Newcomers are especially welcome!

SPIRITUAL JOURNEY / SOUL MATTERS GROUPS

Spiritual Journey/ Soul Matters Groups Starting the week of March 14th, 2017!!
These groups offer UUCM members and friends Adult Spiritual development and the opportunity to connect with each other, with our deepest selves, and with the world, in small groups of 6 to 10 people led by a trained facilitator. Each group meets 6 times between March 14th and the end of May – meeting every other week for about 90 minutes to explore the monthly worship theme which is used in our Sunday service and RE classes.
