Exploring UUism Classes

Whether you are interested in becoming a member of our congregation, or if you simply would like to know more about the history, principles and structure of our church, please join us for our next “Welcome to UUCM” session and/or our next “Exploring UUism" classes.

Welcome to UUCM: A CLASS ESPECIALLY FOR NEWCOMERS” is a 50 minute information session offered on occasional Sunday mornings following the worship service. If you have been visiting UUCM and would like to find out more about Unitarian Universalism and our congregation, we invite you to join us for a “Welcome to UUCM” class. Together, we will explore the mission and vision of this church, as well as historical and contemporary Unitarian Universalism. There will be time to reflect on our own faith journeys and religions questions. We’ll also have information about our "Exploring UUism classes". Please join us near the piano after the service on the dates below. The next class will be offered on:
Sunday, April 2, 2017 after the 10:30 am service.

Welcome Classes

In our “Exploring UUism" classes, participants have an opportunity to share more deeply their individual spiritual journeys and to explore whether membership in UUCM feels right for them. There are two classes in this series, both offered during the First Hour on Sunday Mornings at 9:15 AM. Visitors and friends who are interested in membership at UUCM should take both of these classes in any order. Members who are interested in these topics are encouraged to join us in these interactive classes whenever it fits their schedule. The class called "Exploring UU History and Beliefs" allows participants to share their own spiritual journeys and to interactively explore a broad overview of Unitarian and Universalist history and what it means to be a UU. In the class called "Exploring UUCM", we will continue to respond to your questions, and explore information and opportunities about our particular church, and how we relate to the wider UU Region and the Unitarian Universalist Association. Visitors and friends who have attended both of these "Exploring UUism" classes are eligible to become members of UUCM.
