CONGREGATIONAL POTLUCK CELEBRATIONS!
Beginning in late February, UUCM will hold several potlucks at the church for the purposes of: Celebrating our community and making time to visit with one another; Hearing from the Board about the Planting Possibilities work on church values and missions, and the next steps. Learning more about our move to the new building and the March fundraising efforts for both the operating budget (“pledge drive”) and the building fund (“capital campaign”). We want every Member and Friend to join us at one of these events! Come connect with congregation and get involved in shaping our future! Potlucks are now scheduled for Saturday evening February 25th (6 PM), Friday evening March 3rd (6 PM), and Sunday afternoon March 5th (12 Noon). Please give at least one week’s notice if you would like to have childcare provided. There is a sign up in the North Room or please contact Amy Putkonen.


CARE TEAM

The Care Team helps coordinate meals, rides, visits and emergency child care, and more for those in our church community with such needs.  They recruit and maintain a list of volunteers. The team helps the minister coordinate memorial services. They also send cards for congratulations, get well, thinking of you and condolences.  To request care for yourself or someone you know, or if you would be willing to lend a hand, please contact any care team member:

AFFINITY GROUPS


MONDAY MORNING BOOK CLUB
Members of the MMBC meet on the third Monday of each month at 11:00 AM at "The District" restaurant in Wayzata. Anyone who loves to read is welcome to join us. Each meeting will have a discussion leader that will tell something about the author and start the discussion. Discussion guides are available to make this easy. Members help the group stay on topic and focus on the book. Everyone should read the book for the month. Those wishing to may go out to lunch after the meeting. WOMEN WHO READ BOOK CLUB
The UUCM book group, Women Who Read, meet the second Monday of the month at members' homes to discuss a mix of fiction, non-fiction and classics. WWR welcomes new members anytime. Please contact Christy Dachelet  for more information.

VENERABLE WOMEN
Especially for women 60+, no agendas, just fun and getting to know one another. The group meets at UUCM and other fun spots around the area at Noon on the second Friday of the month.  Please contact Sue McKnight.

VENERABLE MEN
Especially for men 60+, this group meets at 8:00 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month, generally at the Original Pancake House on Hwy 101 and County Road 6 in Plymouth. Please contact Jerry Johnson   for more information.
