What are Sunday Services like at UUCM?

Sunday Services are held at 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., from September 10 through May 10, and at 10:00 a.m. during the summer months. They typically include music, hymns, readings, a time for all ages, a collection, a speaker and are followed by a fellowship hour with refreshments in the adjoining North Room. What do people wear at UUCM?

Attire ranges from jeans and t-shirts, sweaters and skirts, to suits and dresses. People are encouraged to dress as they are comfortable.

Where can I park at UUCM?

Free parking is available on Walker and Rice streets and in the Wayzata City Hall lot on Rice Street across from the church. There is also a free city ramp down the hill from the church on Walker Street. Learn more...

Does UUCM provide childcare?

Childcare is provided for infants and young children during all services. At the 11:00 a.m. service during the school year, pre-school children through senior high youth join the congregation in the sanctuary at the beginning of the service and may then join religious education classes or remain with the congregation. Children should be signed in with the Religious Education Greeter on the lower level before the service begins and picked up following the service.

Is UUCM handicap accessible?

Handicap parking is available in front of the main church entrance on Walker Street. A drop-off spot and wheelchair accessible ramp is located to the left of the main entrance. The sanctuary and North Room restroom are wheelchair accessible. Headphones are available during services for audio enhancement.

UUCM is in the oldest church building on Wayzata’s historic “Piety Hill,” overlooking beautiful Lake Minnetonka.

Please visit us at 605 Rice Street (corner of Rice and Walker Streets) in Wayzata.

From the North

Take I-494 South. Take I-394 West/US 12 West to Wayzata. Take the 101 South exit, and turn right onto Wayzata Boulevard. After about 1 mile, turn left on Walker Street South (just after the cemetery) and UUCM will be on your left.

From the East

Take I-394 West/US-12 West from Minneapolis (Wayzata is west of I-494). Take the 101 South exit, and turn right onto Wayzata Boulevard. After about 1 mile, turn left on Walker Street South (just after the cemetery) and UUCM will be on your left.

From the South

Take I-494 North/West to I-394 West. Take the 101 South exit, and turn right onto Wayzata Boulevard. After about 1 mile, turn left on Walker Street South (just after the cemetery) and UUCM will be on your left.

From the West

Take US-12 East. Take the Central Ave exit, and turn right onto Central Ave (County Road 101 South). After 0.3 miles, turn right onto Wayzata Boulevard and go another 0.5 miles then turn left onto Walker Street South (just after the cemetery). UUCM will be on your left.
